An annual Silver City Days tradition that remains behind-the-scenes is courtesy from members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 11, Trail. Participants of all ages in the Saturday Firefighters Parade gather in East Trail (this year at the Aquatic Centre) for a wind up of cold beverages and barbeque hot dogs, donated and served up by Legion members. Rita Morrison says over 600 hot dogs were served on the weekend, and every year the group hosts the event because it’s a great time and a joy to do. (Submitted photo)

Hot Diggity, that’s a lot of dogs!

The Trail Legion has traditionally served up food and beverages for parade participants.

Members of the Trail Legion have traditionally offered food and cold beverages to people of all ages who participate in the annual Silver City Days parade. This year, the group set up tents in the Trail Aquatic and Leisure Centre and after the parade ended in the early afternoon, they served up over 600 hot dogs as well as drinks. Rita Morrison says the group looks forward to hosting the event every year, because it’s great fun.
