Save your money for the popcorn on Friday, Feb. 17 at the Royal Theatre for a free family showing of “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.” The film starts at 2 p.m. and is intended as a free afternoon for children aged five to 12 — although one adult must attend for every four children. Attendance to the showing will be on a first come, first served basis with no advance tickets. The day is sponsored by (from left to right) Teck Trail Operations, represented by Carol Vanelli Worosz, communications manager; Naomi Bain, Trail Fair Society Boys Connect coordinator; Lisa Milne, Royal Theatre owner; Ian McAlpine, chair of Community Futures of Greater Trail board; and Craig Adams, general manager of CFGT.
